Coach Ravi Shastri made a big statement on the conduct of IPL in UAE, said this
Mumbai: India's head coach Ravi Shastri believes that the Indian Premier League (IPL) event in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a must in this phase of the Kovid-19 epidemic and everyone wants it organized. The Cricket Board of India (BCCI) has decided to organize the IPL in the UAE. The tournament will be played from 19 September to 10 November. In this way, there will be 60 matches within 51 days.
Shastri said during a webinar, "In this era of Kovid, when the IPL starts in the UAE, you will see that the atmosphere has been created again, which is very much needed." He said that the UAE showed in 2014 that it is capable of organizing such tournaments. Shastri said, "It is a big decision by the Government of India to allow cricket to be held in the UAE and the UAE government responded positively. I remember that when the IPL was held in the UAE in 2014, its government left no stone unturned and the audience was also brilliant.
He said that in this difficult period, when most people are not leaving their homes due to security reasons, the IPL will keep them focused for 51 days. Shastri said, 'It is stressful and unpredictable. After the Second World War, the world had not seen anything like this, so people will return to television from the beginning of the Games. This will bring back the enthusiasm of many people and it is very much needed at this time. '
