This Indian will get captaincy of Rajasthan Royals in Smith's absence: reports
Sports Desk: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to get the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 UAE in view of the condition of corona virus in India. According to reports, Rajasthan Royals team captain Steve Smith will not be able to join the team in the first week and in such a situation, Indian cricketer Jaydev Unadkat can take over the captaincy.
Due to the limited overs series between England and Australia, many Australian players will not be able to take part in the IPL in the first week which also includes Rajasthan Royals captain Smith. At the same time, England's Jos Buttler and Joffra Archer are likely to join the team. Talking about Ben Stokes, he has no idea of participating in the IPL.
According to reports, Rajasthan could make Jaydev Unadkat captain for the first week of IPL. Although Unadkat has never captained the IPL, it is not new to him to lead the team. The Rajasthan Royals star has led the Saurashtra Ranji team and enhanced the glory of the Ranji Trophy earlier this year. Unadkat has been with Rajasthan since 2018 and performed brilliantly in the previous Ranji Trophy. He took the highest number of 67 wickets in Ranji Trophy.
