SSR case: Supreme Court approves CBI investigation, says - 'FIR lodged in Patna right'
Mumbai: The Supreme Court of India has given its verdict on the petition of Riya Chakravart, girlfriend of Sushant, the main accused in the case of the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. CBI will investigate Sushant's death. Following the recommendation of Bihar Government, CBI has already started its investigation on the order of the Center. The court has also upheld the FIR registered in Patna in this case.
The Supreme Court has given its verdict on Wednesday in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. The SC has ordered a CBI inquiry into the matter and said that the Maharashtra government should cooperate with the CBI and also help in providing documents related to all the investigations. The court has asked the CBI to take up the matter related to the Sushant case in future. So she will see CBI. The Supreme Court said that the Bihar government has the right to refer the case registered on the complaint of Sushant's father to the CBI. The Supreme Court said that Maharashtra Police should cooperate with CBI because now the order of CBI inquiry is of Supreme Court.
The case was in the Supreme Court regarding who has the right to investigate the case of Sushant's death. The Supreme Court had sought written replies from all the parties. Written answers were given by the Bihar government, Riya Chakraborty and Sushant's family to the Supreme Court. At the same time, a written reply was given by the CBI in the Supreme Court. It has said in response that the court should allow the CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED) to continue their investigation.
Riya Chakraborty's argument in the SC was that the incident is from Mumbai and jurisdiction is also made of Maharashtra Police. But the Bihar police registered a case. The incident did not happen in Patna. Political force has been used against Riya. The case was used as a political agenda to gain political advantage. Sushant died on 14 June. It has been more than 2 months and no result has been achieved. Sushant's family and his fans want justice at the earliest.
