Study grant a Cambridge dream come true
THANKS to the Alice Smith School Foundation Tertiary Study Grant, Malaysian student Zhi Yan Lee, 19, will now be able to pursue chemical engineering at Pembroke College, Cambridge University. Zhi Yan, a Year 13 scholar in the Alice Smith School, is the first recipient of the tertiary study grant. The Alice Smith School Foundation, which was set up in November 2018, has allocated RM200,000 to fund part of Zhi Yan’s tertiary studies in Cambridge. Thrilled and surprised, Zhi Yan said, “My next important journey in life wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for the generous donations. I’m truly humbled to be the first recipient of the Alice Smith School Foundation Tertiary Study Grant.
