Malayalam filmmaker Alwin Antony accused of sexual misconduct, producer absconding
Malayalam film producer Alwin Antony has been accused of sexual misconduct by a 22-year-old woman. As per reports in BollywoodLife, the police have confirmed that a case has been registered against the filmmaker. The reports also reveal that he had promised the woman good roles in his movies and the assault took place between January and March 2019 about four times. Currently, Alwin is absconding which has made the matter worse.
Earlier, Kerala Producers Association banned Rosshan Andrrews after his spat with Alwin. However, no case was registered against Rosshan and it was an unofficial ban. Meanwhile, Alwin has produced multiple movies in Malayalam film industry namely to name a few.
If proven guilty, Alwin is likely to face criminal charges. However, he is absconding and the police are in search of him. Reports from a portal also suggest that his phone is switched off and he is not being traced since July 19, 2020.
Alwin Anthony is married to Angelina and they have a son named Allwyn John Antony. Both Alwin and Allwyn had a spat with Rosshan which was taken to the association. They even complained against each other and accused of attacking one another to the police.
Alwin's last outing as the producer is Bibin George and Namitha starrer which released in 2019. He has been a part of the movies for about 20 years.
