PM Modi has fooled nation’s youth with false promises: former CM Siddaramaiah
Bengaluru: Former chief minister Siddaramaiah has lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, claiming that he has fooled the youth of the country by making false promises.
Addressing the gathering on Sunday, December 1, during the campaigning for Congress by-polls candidate from K R Puram, M Narayanaswamy, Siddaramaiah said, “Youth of this country had believed the words of PM Modi during the 2019 general election campaign and had voted for him. But, he has fooled them."
“Everywhere he went he had one slogan which was “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas” (upliftment of everyone). But now, all that has vanished. When there is high rate of unemployment, he says youth can sell pakodas. Do you want such a PM?”, he added.
He also criticized the Modi government for the current economic crisis.
Meanwhile, Siddaramaiah said that Byrathi Basavaraj (earlier disqualified, now candidate of BJP) had betrayed him and the party on the whole.
