Imported methamphetamine halves street price of P, police say
Imported methamphetamine flooding into New Zealand has cut the price of the Class A drug in half, police say. For the whole of 2018, Customs seized 272.8kg of meth yet to the end of August 2019 it's already seized 1087.2kg. MAARTEN HOLL/STUFF Police believe large quantities of imported methamphetamine are getting through Customs and driving New Zealand's price down (file photo). He said despite the street value dropping, such crime groups are still attracted by the significantly higher price meth continues to fetch in New Zealand compared with other countries.
