Wasim Jaffer Predicts Virat Kohli’s Number Of Centuries In ODI Career

Indian captain Virat Kohli added another ODI century in his list on last Sunday (11th August), and that was his 42nd ODI century. The Indian Test specialist batsman Wasim Jaffer has recently predicted how much ODI centuries Kohli will score.

On Sunday, during the second ODI of the three-match ODI series against the host side at Port of Spain, Kohli played a captain’s knock. He scored 120 runs off 125 balls (14 fours and only six) which helped to score 279/7 in 50 overs. Later, India won that match by 59 runs and took the 1-0 lead of this series. Skipper Kohli won the Player of the Match award for his impressive batting performances.

It was Kohli’s first century in the last 12 ODI innings. In the recently concluded , Kohli performed consistently but failed to hit at least one century.

The second most ODI centurion Kohli hit his 42nd ODI century in the latest game. He is just seven ODI centuries away to touch Sachin Tendulkar, the record holder of most ODI centuries which is 49.

Wasim Jaffer feels Virat Kohli will hit 75-80 ODI centuries

Many believe that Kohli will soon break this most ODI centurion record. Recently, after Kohli’s 42nd ODI century, Wasim Jaffer revealed his prediction on Kohli’s future number of ODI centuries. Jaffer has claimed that Kohli will hit 75-80 centuries in ODI career.

Jaffer wrote on his Twitter account, “Normal services resumes after a break of 11 innings!! i.e. another international 💯 for Virat Kohli. My prediction is he will get 75-80 ODI 💯’s 🤞🏽🤐#KingKohli.”

The 41-year-old Jaffer has hit 57 centuries and 88 half-centuries in the first-class career. After playing 253 first-class matches, Jaffer has scored 19,147 runs (average 51.19). In the Test career, Jaffer has scored 1,944 runs in 31 Tests (average 34.10). The right-handed batsman hit five centuries and 17 half-centuries in Test career.

Jaffer has also played two ODIs for India where he has scored ten runs.
