Fire Breaks out in Seoul, Kills 7 and 11 others Injured
Guwahati: At least seven people are killed in a fire breakout that took place in a dormitory-style housing facility in Seoul, South Korea on Friday. Along with the deceased, 11 other people are also injured and are admitted at the nearby hospital. Chance of the death toll rising is also there as the fire has not been extinguished completely in the dormitory.
These particular types of housing facilities are called “goshiwon” in Korean and are designed particularly for the poor manual labourers or students preparing for bar exams or civil service exams stay. Such houses are generally of a very low-cost standard.
The cause of the fire is not known yet and investigations are underway. As reported by the local media of Seoul, all the victims and injured people f the fire incident are manual labourers in their 40 to 60s.
