Damaged Constant Spring Road pipeline again forces water lock-off
KINGSTON, Jamaica — National Water Commission (NWC) customers in some sections of the Corporate Area are presently experiencing a disruption in water supply as a result of a broken pipeline on the Constant Spring water supply network, the distribution company said.
This is the third such reported disruption in less than ten days, as road improvement works continue on Constant Spring Road.
The previous disruption on Tuesday was as a result of a break on the 21-inch transmission pipelines; however, the NWC did not state reasons for the damage.
Five days before that the pipeline was damaged as a result of road expansion works in the vicinity of Hillman Road.
Areas affected by today's disruption include: Valentine Gardens, Red Hills Road, Molynes Road, Constant Spring Road, Havendale, Half Way Tree, Lady Musgrave, Whitehall Gardens, Eastwood Park Gardens, Hughenden, Grants Pen, Manor Park, Shortwood, Cross Roads, Camperdown, Manning's Hill Road, Arlene Gardens, Roehampton, Calabar Mews, Zaidie Gardens, State Gardens and,Washington Boulevard.
The NWC said it is working to have regular service restored by late this evening.
