The Haunted Graveyard rises again to celebrate 19 years of fears at Lake Compounce! Since 1999, the 45 minute haunted walk-through attraction has brought screams to New England, and was named the #7 Best Haunted Theme Park Halloween Event in USA Today’s 10Best for 2017. The frights return on weekends from September 28th – October 28th, with a variety of themed scare zones filled with over 200 monsters. Throughout the Halloween season, The Haunted Graveyard and Lake Compounce will be celebrating this monstrous year with events, beginning with the first Behind the Screams event and the 2nd Annual Boo Brew Fest.

Behind The Screams of the Haunted Graveyard at Lake Compounce
The Haunted Graveyard at Lake Compounce is lifting the veil on the secrets behind the creation of the scariest Haunted Attraction in New England, with the new Behind The Screams event 12-10 pm on September 29th. This event is open to the public and features seminars on theatrical makeup, costume design, special effects, and lighting, Admission includes an unlimited walkthrough pass for the Haunted Graveyard and a front of the line pass to the Lake Compounce park attractions plus a free ride on the Sky Coaster that night. Tickets may be purchased online on the Lake Compounce website for $59.99.

The 2nd Annual Boo Brew Fest
Returning to Lake Compounce in 2018: The 2nd Annual Boo Brew Fest, September 28 & 29 from 5-10pm. A brew fest of epic proportions featuring 10 Connecticut based craft breweries plus delicious fall food. Located at The Croc Pot, featured Breweries include Two Roads, Thomas Hooker, Back East, Stony Creek, City Steam, Olde Burnside, Broad Brook, Half Full Brewery, Firefly, and more. Guests who are 21+ and have an Adult Combo Ticket (Rides and Graveyard admission) will get one FREE flight of local brewed beer!

Those who are brave enough to face the horrors within the Haunted Graveyard will encounter a 45 minute, 1 mile maze made up of 23 distinct themed scare zones. Set against the mountainous open terrain surrounding Lake Compounce, each scare zone will unveil new terrifying settings, such as a lair full of creeping Spiders; the ceremonial alter of feasting Vampires; a cave of screeching Bats; a treacherous overgrown Jungle leading to a cursed Temple containing an ancient evil; the halls of a Zombie Hospital full of patients craving human flesh; and the Shadowman’s Swamp, home of a collector of all things odd and terrible. As the journey continues further and further into the Haunted Graveyard, it will be impossible to avoid the over 200 monsters, vampires, witches, zombies, banshees, spirits, ghouls and much more that await their newest victim. Be prepared for whatever might be lurking around the next corner.

Lake Compounce opens at 5pm each night and will have 18 rides available to enhance the thrills, as well as special Halloween décor and live monsters roaming the midway streets, ready to scare! The Haunted Graveyard is a separate ticketed attraction located at the north end of Lake Compounce and will open at dusk. All guests must enter via the main gates of the amusement park, and are encouraged to arrive early. Haunted Graveyard and Lake Compounce combo tickets are available for advanced purchase online for $29.99 before Sept 28th, or at the main gate and online for $34.99 throughout the Halloween season. A ‘Fangtastic’ 4 pack of tickets valid on Sundays is available for purchase online. Each guest will choose the bewitching hour at which they will enter The Haunted Graveyard with scheduled reservation based tickets. Comfortable shoes are recommended for this haunted journey. This attraction is rated PG for Pretty Ghoulish, and is not intended for small children or adults who may be frightened easily.
