13,000 crores of fraud, Runaway diamond businessman Mehul Choksi
A formal request has been made to the Antigua Government from India for extradition of the accused of the Punjab National Bank scam and extradition of the fugitive diamond trader Mehul Choksi. At the same time, the Antigua Administration's shocking claim is that Choksi was given the status of Antigua citizenship on the basis of an immaculate report from India.According to a senior police official of the Mumbai Police, the Malabar Hills police station has given clean chit to Choksi.
Let's say that Choksi left India and went to Dubai a few days before the CBI filed a case against Mehul Choksi and Neerav Modi in the 13,000 crore PNB scam. Choksi filed application for police verification in the Regional Passport Office on February 23, 2017. Regarding that, within 15 days, on March 10, 2017, there was an immaculate report from the Malabar Hills Police Station. It is believed that on the basis of this report, Mehul Choksi achieved the citizenship of Antigua.
It is shocking that Mehul Choksi, on whom, had recorded several cases in 2017, on which basis the immaculate report was given and Mumbai Police ignored these matters before reporting it. Although the current system also has the same flaw in it. According to the police, Choksi was given an immaculate report because no criminal background or evidence of arrest was found against him. Explain that such clearance is given after examining the Mumbai Police's Online Criminal Background and Information System (CAIS). If a person has been arrested in the past then he can come to the CAIS.
On March 14, the Special Branch of Mumbai Police submitted this report to the Regional Passport Office, Mumbai. Antigua claims that Choksi applied for citizenship in May 2017 and this citizenship was given on the basis of an immaculate report from the Regional Passport Office under India's Foreign Ministry.
