Dubai, Jun 11 (UNI) India’s Poonam Yadav and Pakistan’s Anam Amin have broken into
the top five on the MRF Tyres ICC Women’s T20I Rankings for bowlers following their
performances in the Women’s T20 Asia Cup in Malaysia.

In the latest rankings update on Monday, Yadav, the leg-spinner, gained two places
to be third on the list, behind Australia’s Megan Schutt and New Zealand’s Leigh
Kasperek, an ICC report said.

The diminutive spinner finished the tournament with seven international wickets,
including a career-best 4/9 in the final, but it wasn’t enough to ensure India's victory
over Bangladesh.

Amin, the left-arm spinner, who was miserly all tournament, rose a remarkable 13
places to be fifth.

Also making considerable gains were the Bangladesh women, who made history by
defeating India twice, as well as Pakistan once, on their way to the title.
