Puducherry: Kiran Bedi lauds CS plan urging officials to go on field visits
Puducherry: Puducherry Lt Governor Kiran Bedi lauded Chief Secretary Ashwani Kumar for his new initiative urging officials to on field visits. The Chief Secretary in a message asked the secretaries, head of each departments and collectors to reach out to villages through field visits involving elected representatives, student community, NGOs and other organizations.
He urged the officials to reach out as many villages as possible to achieve saturation. The Lt Governor, who has been making field visits ever after assuming office and urging officials to do the same, appreciated the new initiative by the Chief Secretary.
"It has come today after a long wait for me of more than 12 months. This is transformative. It finally is fulfilling the Mantra of TEA- Trust-Empowerment-Alignment. It marks a big leap forward in the way we shall serve the people of Puducherry," Ms Bedi said. "I thank the Chief Secretary for this leadership. Now no looking Back. Let us together make Puducherry the first rate UT of our country," she said.
