PM breaks his silence on rape incidents
Finally Modi has commented on the gruesome rape incidents of Unnao and Kathua.
Modi speaking at the inauguration of the Ambedkar National Memorial in Delhi said that no criminal will be spared and daughters will get justice.
Modi further said that everyone in the country will have to join hands to remove the evil from the country.
In January, an eight-year-old girl was brutally gang raped and killed in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district.
The girl was abducted on January 10 from near her home in the forests next to Rasana village in Kathua, and, after a week, her body was found in the same area.
In Unnao, a 17-year-old was raped last year allegedly by BJP MLA Kuldeep Sengar, who has been named in a CBI FIR and was questioned on Friday. The incident came to light after the victim and her family tried to set themselves ablaze outside Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's residence on Sunday.
The Unnao gang rape case victim's father had died in the police custody.
