BJP distances itself from Naresh Agrawal's controversial comment after joining party
The Bharatiya Janata Party distanced itself from the comment of Naresh Agrawal who accused the Samajwadi Party of comparing him ‘with those who dance and work in films’. External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj took to social media to shoot down Agrawal's remarks, calling them ‘improper and unacceptable.’ Agrawal, a close aide of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, joined the BJP in the presence of Union minister Piyush Goyal. It was there that he expressed his disappointment at being bypassed by the SP for nomination to the Rajya Sabha. BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra immediately clarified that his party respects people from all fields and welcomes them in politics.
