Every Year conducts to recruit candidates at various civil services post across country. As you all know that this is the toughest competitive examination of the country for which candidates have to face a cut-throat competition to qualify this examination. UPSC has already issued an official notification for CS Exam 2018 for which large number of candidates applying for the same. So, here we are providing a short syllabus to the candidates who are going to take this examination this year.
Civil Services Examination is conducted in three stages namely Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Personal Interview. Candidates aspiring for civil services job had to go through all three stages to qualify this examination successfully and to get recruited on various civil posts.
The preliminary examination is consists of two papers which is of objective type and it carries 200 marks for each. These two papers are General Studies I and General Studies II and candidate have to score 33% marks to qualify these papers.
Candidates who qualify the preliminary examination become eligible to appear for its Main examination. The main examination consists of 7 papers out of them one is Indian language, English, General Studies and Options subject of your choice. The main examination is consists of 1750 marks.
Then next stage and last stage of CSE is of Personality test which is attendant by candidates who qualify both Pre and Main examination. UPSC gives 250 marks to candidates who qualify this stage.
