Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (H) Javaid Ahmad Mir has parted ways from Hurriyat Conference (M) by submitting his resignation to the chairman of the amalgam, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.

Mir said the reason to quit Hurriyat (M) was purely based on “ideological differences.”  “I will continue my peaceful efforts to take the movement to its logical conclusion,” said Mir, who was one of the frontline militant commanders of JKLF in early 1990s.
