Here we bring before you a list of actors who became the talk of the town with their debut films. Stardom, however, was short-lived for them where they gradually faded failing to make a notable mark in the industry.

Mahima, with her girl-next-door role in the movie “Pardes” rose to instant stardom. Unfortunately her films thereafter were not so successful and she gradually faded away from Bollywood.

She shot to fame with chartbuster “Aashiqui” (1990) and did other films like “King Uncle” and “Khalnayika”. She was last seen on silver screen in 1996, after which she met with an accident and quit movies completely.

After her super hit film “Phool aur Kaante” and her stellar performance in “Roja”, Madhoo would have stayed in the industry for quite sometime. But she vanished from Bollywood, except, occasionally appearing in small roles.

Her portrayal of Ishika in her debut film “Mohabbatein” (2000) earned her the 2001 IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year – Female. However, after that the younger sister of Shilpa Shetty couldn’t go beyond a series of item numbers.

Debuting with a super hit like “Maine Pyaar Kiya”, she became the most talked about actress of her time. Her condition to act with her husband only ruined her career. Bhagyashree is now happily married and her son is now preparing for his Bollywood debut.

This pretty lady made her Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan in “Tere Naam”. She next did “Run” with Abhishek and another film with Salman. But after her marriage to Yoga guru Bharat Thakur, the actress is hardly seen on the big screen.

This Brazilian model couldn’t have asked for a better launch. She debuted in Imtiaz Ali’s hit film, “Love Aaj Kal” opposite Saif Ali Khan. Giselle was later seen in “Always Kabhi Kabhi”, and hasn’t been seen on the big screen since then.

Mandakini who created a great stir with her 1985 flick “Ram Teri Ganga Maili”, dropped out of the limelight for her alleged affair with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

She became famous overnight with the movie “Lucky: No Time For Love”. Sneha was introduced by Salman Khan and her resemblance to actress Aishwarya Rai made her the talk of town. Sneha did a couple of movies post Lucky, but none helped her acting career.

After making a hardcore debut with her sensuous role in the film “Hate Story”, this Bengali beauty just disappeared altogether.

She made a lucky entry into Bollywood with Lagaan. She then acted in another hit film Munnabhai M.B.B.S. But since then she seems to have vanished from B-town.

The commercial success of “Jannat” earned this beautiful fashion model a lot of appreciation. She didn’t exactly produce hits after this film.
