Former Australian and Rajasthan Royals captain Shane Warne confirms his role with Rajasthan Royals for coming IPL 2018. Warne confirms that he will be mentoring the Rajasthan side in the 11th edition of the tournament. Not to forget that Warne played an influential role with Rajasthan during the first season of IPL in 2008 by donning the job of captain and coach both.
His brilliant tactical leadership skills made Rajasthan the first-ever champion of IPL. Warne confirmed this news with a short video clip by uploading from his official Instagram account and wrote, "Very excited to be joining the @rajasthanroyals in this years #IPL as team mentor ! #HallaBol"
In the last couple of years, Warne has been mostly seen donning the commentator's hat with his immense experience of international cricket. More than a week back, Warne made the announcement of joining Rajasthan camp but did not revealed the role.
Warne will be supported by previous Rajasthan member and former Mumbai batsman Zubin Bharucha as Head of Cricket. Warne and Bharucha's association with Rajasthan begun back in 2008. The Rajasthan Royals will be making their comeback to this yearly mega-event of India after the two-year ban.
Post this news of joining Rajasthan camp again, Warne confessed his love for the franchise, which is close to his heart. "I am very happy and excited to be back with the Rajasthan Royals who I believe hold a very special place in my cricketing journey.
