CHANDIGARH: Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Landran has been adjudged as the ‘Best Infrastructure College in Punjab’ by the International Accrediting Authority (IAA) at the IAA Education India Awards & Summit 2018 organised at New Delhi. The awards celebrate global excellence and exemplary work in the education sector in the country.
CGC was among the 58 shortlisted institutes which made the cut out of 2,000-plus nominated from across the country. Dr P.N. Hrisheekesha Campus Director, CGC Landran and Dr. Rajdeep Singh, Director Principal CGC-College of Engineering received the award on behalf of CGC Landran.
A premier agency IAA is a US-based organization which evaluates educational institutions and corporates on global quality standards in a rigorous process of accreditation. The awards were presented in four broad categories namely higher education, K12 education, Tertiary Education and Individual. The chief guest of the occasion was Sh Deepak Vohra, an Indian diplomat and currently Special Adviser to the Prime Minister of Lesotho and Guinea-Bissau. Dr. Jawahar Surisetti, an educationist of international repute and Maj. Surendra Poonia, international award-winning sportsman, Limca book record holder, and former Special Forces officer of the Indian Army were other distinguished guests at the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman, CGC Landran and Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC Landran said, “It is a proud moment for all of us at CGC and inspires us to continue with our efforts of making Punjab the numero uno destination for quality education.”
