Hyderabad: Three centuries and two nervous nineties were the highlights of Sunday’s action at the Vijay Hazare Group ‘D’ one-day cricket matches here. India player Ravindra Jadeja, Nakul Verma and Shubham Khajuria hit a century each.
Jadeja scored an unbeaten 113 in 116 balls with the help of seven fours and four sixes as Saurashtra overhauled Jharkhand’s strong total of 329 with four wickets in hand. Jharkhand’s score was built on captain Ishan Kishan’s 93 (96b, 5x4, 6x7), Sumit Kumar’s 64 and Virat Singh’s 44.
In another match, Nakul hit 125 in 151 balls to help Services reach 296 for 6 in 50 overs.He was well-supported by Rahul Singh who made 71. However, Jammu & Kashmir found a hero in Shubham, who made 102 in 136 balls. Ahmed Omar Banday too did well to score 94 as J&K won by five wickets.
In another match, Chhattisgarh defeated Ranji champions Vida-rbha by 45 runs as Vishal Singh (4/54) and Shahna-waz Hussain (3/41) defen-ded their 284-run total.
