Four years after the sucess of Fukre, the makers of the the comedy are ready with its sequel. Titled Fukrey Returns, the flim, whose trailer, will be launched today, will see the Fukras take off on yet another adventure filled with chaos and fun.
Choocha (Varun Sharma), whose bizarre dreams help Hunny (Pulkit Samrat) pick winning lottery numbers, was a much-loved character in the original film. The makers have given ESP (extra sensory perception) a twist with the term Dejachoo, as thise time, he will be seen predicting the future. And courtesy Choocha, the entire group ends up on a wild journey. Apart from Varun, the sequel will also feature other members of the original cast, including Ali Fazal, Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh and Richa Chadha.
Producer Farhan Akhtar enthuses, "The reaction the original film received from the audience was overwhelming. We hope they enjoy the return of the Fukrey boys and Bholi Punjaban." Producer Ritesh Sidhwani adds, "Fukrey is special film, which gained recognition with its story and memorable characters. We are now back with the sequel and can't wait to see the audience's responce to the trailer that releases today."
Director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba sums it up, saying, "Ever since Fukrey received a heart-warming response from the audience, we had been thinking of making its sequel. However, we were very clear that the sequel needs to be double the fun."
Fukrey Returns, will release on December 15
