Ludhiana, November 14,2017: N.S.S Unit of Ramgarhia Girls College, Miller Ganj, Ludhiana organised free Dental check-up Camp today. A team of three doctors Dr.Karan Baldev,Dr.Yajur Verma & Dr.Navneet Kaur accompanied by 07 interns gave their Service and treated around 600 students. The camp was initiated with dental awareness talk, educating students about common dental problems. Health Education regarding maintenance of oral hygeine were given to them. Doctors demonstrated how sticky and junk food damage the teeth. They also stressed on carrying out regular dental check-ups. The students got ample opportunities to interact with doctors to enquire and gain knowledge concerning oral diseases. The ‘free dental check-up’ insisted on avoiding all mouth related problems and diseases by taking attentive care of the teeth therefore adding to overall wellness. Principal Dr. Inderjit Kaur applauded the efforts of the C.M.C hospital for conducting such camps for students and urged them to continue with this noble work which will certainly add to development of a healthy and a conscious society. She congratulated the N.S.S Programme Officers, Mrs Ritu Sood, Mrs Mandeep Kaur and Ms Preetika on the successful oragnisation. S. Ranjodh Singh, President, Ramgarhia Educational Council appreciated the efforts of Dr.Karan Baldev,Dr.Yajur Verma & Dr.Navneet Kaur for spreading such health awareness and for providing selfless service to the society. On this occasion, the college management also honored former Principal Mrs. Harmit Kaur on her 70th birthday. The staff and students wished her good luck in her journey of life which has been dedicated to the noble cause of women’s education and emancipation.
