East Asia Summit adopts Declaration on Anti Money Laundering
By Nirendra Dev Manila, Nov 14 (UNI) In what can be seen as endorsement to long standing stance of Indian Government, the 12th East Asia Summit here adopted Declaration on Anti-Money Laundering and on countering terror finance.
The Summit attended among others by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte also issued a statement on Cooperation in Poverty Alleviation.
According to diplomatic sources, there was also a Leaders' Statement on Chemical Weapons.
The year 2017 marked 25 years of Dialogue Partnership and 15 years of Summit Level Partnership.
In his address at the Summit, Prime Minister Modi pledged to work with members of East Asia Summit in order to address the pressing issues concerning the political, security and economic issues of the region.
