It remains to be seen where Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be playing his football this season following his release from Manchester United.
The Swede is guaranteed to attract interest from across Europe and Jose Mourinho hasn’t ruled out the possibility of re-signing the striker.
“It’s possible,” Mourinho said last month, per the Mail. “It’s open. Of course, we wanted to be honest and open for him to make a decision in case his desire was to leave.
“There was not a new contract, but there was a space of time for everybody to think, feel and decide.”
Ibrahimovic scored 28 goals for Man United before his season came to a cruel end when he sustained serious ligament damage in his right knee in April.
Some wondered whether the 35-year-old would decide to call it a day but he plans to continue playing.
“From his point of view, he made the decision of wanting to play football still at the highest level,” Mourinho added. “He didn’t want to hide behind such an amazing injury.
“It would be easy to hide behind it and stop and go to a different level of football. He did not want that.
“We are exchanging ideas and it’s with Mr (Ed) Woodward and Zlatan’s agent (Mino Raiola), but the important thing is the final decision is the best for the player.”
Man United supporters would love to see Ibrahimovic return, even with Romelu Lukaku now at the club, and there’s no doubting he would have a big influence if he did come back.
And one look at Ibrahimovic’s Instagram page shows he looks in impressive shape.
The former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain player has clearly been working hard during his rehabilitation and it shouldn’t be too much longer before he’s able to play.
Ibra adds the word: “No time to rest,” on his latest workout video. Watch it below.

One man who would like to see Ibrahimovic back at Old Trafford is Daley Blind.
“No doubt he would again be another big signing and last year he gave a big boost for the team,” Blind said, per the Daily Mail.
“He is still a great player and great person and he makes everything better.”
Mourinho has signed three players this summer – Victor Lindelof, Lukaku and Nemanja Matic – and the return of Ibra would complete a decent summer of business.
